About Us
Obtala Limited was incorporated in the United Kingdom on 1 August 2007 and subsequently listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM market) in April 2008, under the ticker OBT. In July 2010, Obtala Resources Limited was re registered in Guernsey pursuant to a scheme of arrangement and the new holding company was admitted to AIM on 17 September 2010.
The initial focus was on exploring and evaluating mineral opportunities in Tanzania, East Africa. The company has since developed a portfolio of investments in line with the strategy of creating shareholder value through strategic investments and growth. More recently the company has been re-positioning itself as an emerging East Africa agri- and timber trading and investment enterprise with the term objective of building a fully integrated business with full traceability and accountability from the land to the market place.
