Obtala is a diversified multi-national Group with an established presence in mining and mineral exploration, and is further developing interests in energy, agriculture and strategic investments. Subsidiary companies of the Group hold 100% economic rights in gold, uranium, nickel and iron ore projects in Tanzania.

Obtala is a significant shareholder in diamond production and exploration company, Paragon Diamonds Ltd, in tin and iron ore projects in South Africa and in a new agriculture and forestry company in East Africa.
